The rising unemployment rate has made an industry booming in India, ' job scam industry'.

According to CMIE (Center for Monitoring Indian Economy), unemployment rates in May 2020 (23.48%) and April 2020 (23.52%) has increased more than two times compared with March 2020 (8.75%).

The number of jobs in private as well as the public sector is limited. This limitation is utilised by the fake job rackets. The easy availability of the internet nowadays is misused by this rackets. Students who are in the final year of their studies and fresh graduates are the main victims of this scams.

Dr Brijesh George John the well-known placement consultant has given 7 tips to identify a fake job offer.

Tip No.1 - Job offer letter for jobs you haven't applied.

Never respond to job offers that you haven't applied. No company will call a fresh graduate or a final year student without an application. People with niche skill or having years of experience may be called without an application.

Tip No.2 - Job offers which do not have any kind of selection process.

Generally, every job requires some selection processes. These may be a two or three-level process. Without testing the skills of the applicants no genuine company will hire a fresher.

Tip No.3 - Job offers which ask you for payment.

This may be asked in terms of documentation charge, travelling ticket rate, training fees etc. Genuine companies will never ask for any kind of payment.

Tip No .4 - High package of salary for a fresh graduate or a person with less work experience.

Salary is offered concerning some industry standards. A fresher or a person with no experience will only get an entry-level salary package.

Tip No.5 - Unprofessional job letters.

This offer letters mainly contain spelling and grammatical mistakes. They also don't have the professional format of job letters.

Tip No.6 -Job offers from a suspicious E-mail id.

Generally, fake job rackets will send an E-mail from an E-mail id similar to that of a well-known company. For example, a job letter from wirpo@gmail.com will attract job aspirants, as the name wirpo has similarity with the well-known company Wipro.

Tip No.7 - Frequent contacts from the job provider.

No company will give special care for the job applicants. They will contact only in necessary times.
